FIRE PROCEDURE Raise the alarm by ringing the emergency triangle located on tree in centre of site. The Red Fire Boxes are also alarmed and easily visible on the upper and lower sites. All residents should evacuate to the drive at the top end of the caravan park. Telephone the emergency services on 999 quoting: Peniarth Caravan Park, Llanegryn, Bird Rock road; Grid reference N52 38 W004 03, opposite the 'Old Hospital'.
FIRE EXTINGUISHERS are situated in the red telephone-style boxes at the edge of the site. Follow the instructions on the extinguisher. Aim jet at base of flames. An alarm will go off when the box is opened.
PUBLIC TELEPHONE is situated in the red telephone kiosk at the edge of the site.
POST BOX is situated at the car park, next to bungalows in the village of Llanegryn about 1 mile away.
NEAREST HOSPITAL - Tywyn (01654) 710411 - The Cottage Hospital, Aberdovey Road, Tywyn.
Directions: Drive through Llanegryn to the main A493 coast road; at junction turn left towards Tywyn. Over river bridge, through village of Bryncrug, and into Tywyn. Drive through Tywyn following signs for Aberdovey. The hospital is on the far side of Tywyn, on the left hand side of the road, up a small slip road. It is manned twenty four hours a day. If possible phone Tywyn Health Centre (710238) first, and their ansaphone will give you the number of the duty doctor, or if during office hours will tell you where to go. In an obvious emergency go directly to the hospital. NEAREST MAJOR HOSPITAL - Aberystwyth (01970) 623131 - Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth, Dyfed SY23 1ER
Distance: about 35 miles and it takes about one hour. Directions: Drive through Tywyn, Aberdovey, and Machynlleth, towards Aberystwyth. At the bottom of the long hill down into Aberystwyth, turn left into the signed car park. The Casualty entrance is in front of you. Directions: Into Tywyn, follow High street to the end and drive straight ahead under the railway bridge. The Health Centre is 100 yards further on the left hand side. NORTH WALES POLICE - Dial 101 for Control Room
Local Police Station, Tywyn, - is 250 yards on right side after re-joining High Street, after the one way system. However, this Station is not manned 24 hours a day. IN EMERGENCY of course, dial 999. LOCAL DENTIST – Tywyn (01654) 710607
Tywyn Dental Practice, Neptune Road, Tywyn. Directions: In Tywyn, turn left at memorial when joining High Street, after one way system. Dental practise is 200 yards up on left hand side with its own Car Park. FIRST AID - It is the responsibility of individual caravan owners to have in their possession a basic first aid kit for minor injuries. Time flies so please ensure that the contents are up to date and complete.
LOCAL CHEMIST – Tywyn (01654) 710246, 11 High Street , Tywyn Directions: Into Tywyn, the Chemist is 50 yards on right side of the High Street after the one way system. There is a standard lighted green cross outside the Chemist.
LOCAL VET – Tywyn (01654) 710948, Williams Vets, Pendre Enterprise Park, Tywyn LL36 9lW Directions: Into Tywyn, you will see a large sign on your left within the 40mph zone Williams Vets. It is well signposted and they are very efficient and helpful. All rubbish must be sorted and placed in the appropriate containers which are in the old Bakery building on the left at the top of the Park. Collection dates by the Council vary throughout the season.
Item 9 of the Site’s Standard Rules and Conditions. It is important to note that the underneath of the Caravan must be guarded with ½ round timber within its first 12 months for health and safety reasons. Refill gas bottles must only be purchased from Peniarth Estate Office (see below)..
